Today's date: August 6, 2013
How far along: 23 Weeks
Total weight gain: 4 pounds - I lost a pound this week, but I have no idea where.
Size and growth of baby: David is the size of a grapefruit! He is almost a full pound, and 11 inches long this week. Ears are fully functioning, and loud noises may even startle him! David is also swallowing so that he can practice breathing, which may cause hiccups soon. {via}
Baby is a: boy boy boy!
Maternity clothing: All clothing, except a few shirts I wear at home, are maternity.
Sleep: Falling asleep has been rough this week, and I had one night, Sunday, where I could not fall asleep until almost 3:15 am. It was rough, but I made it through the day. Once I am asleep, I sleep pretty soundly. Napping can be hit or miss.
Movement: Lots of movement lately! The cutest is when Phil will talk to David and he gets a good kick as if it's an answer :)
Cravings/Aversions: No real cravings this week. Aversions are smaller, but certain foods sound gross depending on the day.
Morning Sickness: I did not take a single Zofran this whole week! Go me!
Symptoms: Round ligament pain, nesting, a few extra pimples, gas, movement, heartburn, some trouble getting to sleep, peeing a fair amount, and tired.
Labor Signs: None
Belly button in or out: In
How this pregnancy is different than the first: I no longer need Zofran like I did with my first pregnancy. I have more round ligament pain this time around, which can be pretty painful. I also fluctuate between starving and not being hungry at all a lot more with this pregnancy.
The best moment of this past week: Enjoying my active baby boy, and Jillian having such a great speech therapy session! Feeling very blessed this week.
What I miss: Nothing at all :)
I'm looking forward to: Getting the glucose test over and done with soon, my parents visiting, and finishing up my two big pregnancy projects this month!
David Bump Comparison:
Love that you have nesting as a symptom!! I have the same symptom and its driving my husband crazy!! :) I decide something needs to be done and it needs to be done ASAP! Because the baby is due in Dec, so I have to get it done now. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able not to take the zofran. I have the same hunger issues, starving one minute not hungry the next.
HAHA Thanks! I consider it a symptom because I usually don't care about cleaning everything single item in my house this often ;)
DeleteIt's such a weird feeling about the hunger isn't it? One night I just had mashed potatoes for dinner. Then last night I had 5 pieces of pizza and still asked Phil to get some onion rings after Jillian went to bed!
