{Looking a bit rough after a night of false labor again. Feeling pretty awful and tired today y'all}
{I can see why some people get to the point where they're just over being pregnant. I don't appreciate the roller coaster of emotions I'm being put through, (I do that plenty on my own), but I know it'll be worth it}
Today's date: November 19, 2013
How far along: 38 Weeks
Total weight gain: 27.5 pounds {Lost a little this week!}
Size and growth of baby: David is the size of a pumpkin! He is about 6-1/2 to 6-2/3 pounds, and 20 inches long, (or whatever his length at birth will be). He has a firm grip, and all of his organs are fully developed for life outside the womb. David should have some hair, and is getting into position for birth! {via and via}
Baby is a: boy!
Maternity clothing: Just about everything is maternity, and those that are not barely keep my belly covered. At home, I wear whatever is clean at the time ;)
Sleep: Sleep is good overall, though I feel tired all the time. I also had two separate nights of false labor where I got maybe 4 hours of sleep. Not fun my friends. I pee once in the middle of the night, and then usually have to as soon as I wake up in the morning. It's relatively easy for me to get back to sleep though. I got a few good naps which was nice.
Movement: He has his quiet days, but he gets his kick counts!
Cravings/Aversions: Lots of cravings this week! Hot chocolate, French Silk pie, burgers, green bean casserole, and spinach & artichoke dip. No aversions lately.
Morning Sickness: Zofran last night because I felt like death :(
Symptoms: Obvious baby bump, major heartburn, back pain, sore nipples, stretch marks, cramps, nesting, gas, painful movement, out of breath feeling, peeing lots, contractions, and tired.
Labor Signs: I was dilated to 4 cm, but I think I'm still at 50% effaced. Dr. P didn't sound as hopeful that he'll come before my induction date this time, but it could just be because it looks like lots of patients are on the verge of delivering in the next 2 weeks. Plus, I could always still go into labor on my own in the next 13 days. We'll see what happens!
Belly button in or out: In
How this pregnancy is different than the first: More exhaustion at this point, more weight gain, really bad heartburn, inability to eat the same types of food I did with Jillian, more painful movements, and I get cold really easily.
The best moment of this past week: Having another good appointment, finishing that to-do list, enjoying some time with Phil and Jillian, my friend having her beautiful girl yesterday, and my prenatal massage :)
What I miss: Nothing at all!
I'm looking forward to: Having my parents here, and meeting my son face to face really soon!
Getting so close!!
ReplyDeleteI know! I can't believe we're this close to the end :)
