Bébé Deux Week 18 Update

Today's date: July 2, 2013

How far along: 18 Weeks

Total weight gain: I'm holding steady at a loss of 1.5-2 pounds overall.

Size and growth of baby: Bébé is the size of an sweet potato! Bébé is becoming amazingly mobile, passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking, and swallowing. Bébé also has unique finger and toe prints :) {via and via}

Baby is a: We should know for sure next week! Last chance to vote on my page for Team Tie and Team Tutu :)

Maternity clothing: I wear maternity pants consistently, and very few non-maternity shirts.

Sleep: I sleep fairly well, but wish I could nap more. With a little bit of more energy, I get caught up doing other things when J naps. By the time I'm ready to try resting, she's ready to get up.

Movement: I kinda feel the rolling around every so often, but I feel more when Phil's hand is on my belly. Those are the times I feel more kick-like movements :) It seems to only really happen between 8 and 10 pm. Either bébé is a night owl, or just a little more mellow than Jillian was.

Cravings/Aversions: My main cravings this past week was grapefruit, Cheetos (puffy, flamin' hot, you name it!), and strawberry shortcake. Aversions are the same.

Morning Sickness: I still take Zofran once a day, but I think my doctor wants me to get off of it if I can. We'll see :-/ She suggested trying Zyrtec because that works for some of her patients. I might give that a try!

Symptoms: Round ligament pain, lower back pain, a few extra pimples here and there, gas, a few movements here and there, a little heartburn, some nausea, peeing a fair amount, and tired.

Labor Signs: None

Belly button in or out: In

How this pregnancy is different than the first: I had lost more weight with Jillian. I am also more tired with this pregnancy. Feeling less like an emotional basket case with this pregnancy as opposed to Jillian's. {I'm sure Phil appreciates that ;)}

The best moment of this past week: Hearing the heartbeat this morning (150's again), scheduling our ultrasound for the 10th, the NKOTB/98 Degrees/Boyz II Men concert with one of my besties, and finding out the gender of a friend of mine who is due 8 days before me!

What I miss: Nothing at all :)

I'm looking forward to: More and stronger movement, and our ultrasound to find out the gender in 8 days!
