Bébé Deux Week 34 Update

Today's date: October 22, 2013

How far along: 34 Weeks

Total weight gain: 24 pounds

Size and growth of baby: David is the size of a cantaloupe! He is just under 5 pounds, and around 18 inches long. He is getting rounder and his skin is smoother as he continues to gain weight. If born now, David would have little to no complications. He is also urinating a pint a day!  {via and via}

Baby is a: boy! David Anthony :)

Maternity clothing: All clothing, except a few things I wear at home or cardigans, are maternity.

Sleep: Sleep is pretty good. I had three nights the past week where I woke up at 3 a.m. to pee, and couldn't go back to sleep until close to 5 or 6. I've been tired enough to nap, but I haven't had time to :-/

Movement: David gets his kick counts very easily. Dr. P confirmed this morning that his movements are a little more painful because it is my second pregnancy.

Cravings/Aversions: Main cravings this week were root beer float, Nutella, and a tomato pizza. No aversions lately.

Morning Sickness: It was much better this week. Zofran-free countdown begins again :)

Symptoms: Obvious baby bump, back pain, stretch marks, abs feeling crampy, nesting, gas/digestive issues, movement, out of breath feeling, peeing a fair amount, light contractions, and tired.

Labor Signs: A few Braxton Hicks lately, but nothing to hoot and holler about.

Belly button in or out: In

How this pregnancy is different than the first: Doubled my weight gain at this point, I feel more tired, movements are different (thanks to an anterior placenta), and craving more sweet than savory things than before.

The best moment of this past week: A good appointment this morning, visiting with my brother and his girlfriend, checking off more items on my baby do list, and Jillian's class trip to the pumpkin patch yesterday!

What I miss: Nothing at all :)

I'm looking forward to: More fall weather, enjoying some family fun before we expand, and celebrating Halloween with my girl!

  2. The movements in my second pregnancy seemed much more painful for me too! Glad to hear it is normal, I just assumed I was being a weanie and didn't say anything to my Dr about it!

But I Know What It Feels Like

This post is going to be awfully vulnerable and hard for me, but I really want to finally say it out loud. I got permission for my daughter ...
