That's My Baby!

Today is the big day!

We got up bright and early for our 8 am ultrasound. My sweet friend offered to come with her daughter and watch Jillian for us at our house. It was so early that we were just going to take Jillian with us. We are so very thankful she offered because Jillian would have definitely gotten bored being there for an hour!

Our tech was nice, and made me feel relatively at ease :) From what little I know, things looked good to me. I am preparing myself for another low-lying placenta, but other than that I'm confident everything looks good. I'll hear from the doctor for sure in the next day or two. Besides, if it was really bad, they would have mentioned something today. Bébé moved around a little, but mostly just shifted at inconvenient times. Jillian was squirming like no other at her ultrasound! Maybe this one will be mellower? One can only hope ;)

Here is our sweet little tomato!

With my first pregnancy, Phil found out at the appointment, and recorded me opening a gift to find out the gender. You can see it here. {I still love to watch it :)} This time, I got to find out, and Phil had to sweat it out wait to find out!

This is how I revealed the gender to Phil :)

That's right, it's a boy!!!
We are Team Tie!
{Phil now has a 2 for 2 record of guessing the gender! I haven't guessed correctly yet. I'm glad one of us has parental intuition ;)}

We revealed the gender to our parents and siblings by ordering pizzas for them for dinner. Sausage pizza = boy, and pepperoni pizza = girl :) {I got the idea from this sweet video}

And the name? Well, that's a post for another day!

Oh, and a quick story. I went to go fill up the balloon with confetti and was driving home as quickly as I could. I decided to turn on the radio and this song came on. How cute/funny is that?! I thought it was sweet :)

Dear baby boy,
We are so excited to add you to our family. You are growing healthy and strong, and I promise I will keep doing everything I can to make sure you continue to have a healthy life both inside and outside :) My deepest desire is that we are able to show you just how much you are loved by us and by your Heavenly Father. May you seek Him in all that you do throughout your beautiful life! We love you little tomato!!

Love, Mama

But I Know What It Feels Like

This post is going to be awfully vulnerable and hard for me, but I really want to finally say it out loud. I got permission for my daughter ...
